Miriam Paola Leibbrand studied Translation and Interpreting (French/Italian) at the Institute for Translation and Interpreting at Heidelberg University and graduated as a Diplom-Dolmetscherin. At the Centre for Translation Studies at the University of Vienna, she took up doctoral studies with Franz Pöchhacker. She was awarded her doctorate with distinction in Vienna in 2009.
